"Unassuming GEM!! I’ve made it a point to visit most every weenie joint in the southeast, and this place was a huge surprise and ranks very close to the TOP! Great franks, slaw, chili and buns! The ratio of toppings is We had the grippy glizzy, Rueben and chili cheese. 10/10 and will be making this a regular when on road trips!"

"Holy Crap!!! We stopped in about 30 minutes before closing on Sun. evening after viewing the menu online. We were visiting the area from west central Indiana, and we love a good hotdog. These were 100% the best we have had, Chicago, out west, these babies were amazing. The hotdog itself was top notch, the buns perfect, and the toppings were amazing. The chili cheese fries were amazing as well, but our advise for first timers, skip the fries so you can get multiple dogs, they are just that good. Best food we ate our entire trip, and saying that about hot dogs should tell you just how good these were. Will definetly be back on our next time passing through. Can't add photos, we ate all the evidence!"

"We stopped at Highway Gourmet on vacation and couldn’t have been more pleased! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ All of our choices from the hotdog, to the fries, to the burgers, even to the yummy donuts && tea were amazing! You can tell they truly care about their craft, with the beautiful presentation of the food as well! It was not just a hotdog thrown together, it truly looks like a piece of art! Kid approved My 8 year old loved her burgers & my 3 year old loved her hotdogs. They both loved the fries && donuts of course… Also, the cook was the sweetest! It was super cold on the day that we went, and he ended up bringing our food to our car while we waited for it!"

"I went last week for the first time and it was SO GOOD. I had the A1 dog and it was delicious. You can tell they take great pride in their spot, everything was so well maintained, detailed and clean. The view of the country with nice music playing in the background were a wonderful combo. The service was friendly and fast. Prices are great also. I will definitely be back!"

"Stopped here on a 12 hour drive halfway across the country. We called ahead and placed our order. We both got Scotty Dogs…they were delicious! Food is prepared with care and the place is super efficient. From leaving the highway to getting back on with our food was five minutes! Thank you, Highway Gourmet!"
